Hola, I’m Emma. I graduated from the University of Iowa in May 2011 (victory lap included) and decided I could put off “real life” for one more year by going to Spain to teach English. One year in Logroño (La Rioja) turned into two, and I came back to do a Masters in Urban Education and work in Chicago. I currently teach Spanish at a high school in Chicago on the city’s south side. I try to document any and all of my travels and funny thoughts so that I always have something to look back on, and so that whoever is reading this doesn’t die of boredom. As of summer 2016 the blog has also included my experience with double jaw surgery, so I hope that you also enjoy my take on that insane life experience. Cheers!
